The team at EP is always growing as we develop to support our expanding dealership network. Christophe Gemain is EP’s newest addition and we are thrilled to welcome him in to his position as Regional Sales Manager for France!

We sat down with Christophe to find out more about him and his motivations for joining EP…


Christophe, tell us a bit about yourself?
My name is Christophe, I am 50 years old, I am married and I have 2 children, Raphaël and Lisa who 20 and 15 years old.
I was born in the south of France and I now live in Normandy, not far from Le Havre and Honfleur. My parents were traders and I naturally fell in to study business without even noticing. My life as a child was punctuated by many moves because my parents bought businesses in difficulty, increased their turnover and profitability before reselling them and leaving for another project. A business savvy mindset runs in my family!

 What is your new role with EP?
My new role at EP is to develop the network of distribution partners of EP products in France. Also, in collaboration with our European Key Account Management, I will be continuing the development of strong partnerships with large-scale clients as EP becomes priority suppliers to the French dealer network.

What have you done before joining EP Equipment?
I started my professional career as an apprentice salesperson in a car dealership for the Citroën and at the end of my apprenticeship, after obtaining my diploma, I was hired! I spent 10 years in this family business where I sold both cars and vans and over time I found I had developed a particular appetite for the sale of tailor-made vans with body modifications. Therefore, I wanted to position myself in a sector that would allow me to develop this pronounced taste for the sale of technical solutions. Quickly I discovered the world of material handling and now I have worked in this industry for almost 20 years having successively held sales positions at Still and Jungheinrich and sales engineer positions in the sale of attachments at Bolzoni-Auramo. As my experience grew I took a position as Dealer Development Manager France at Doosan Industrial Vehicle and finally Account Manager France at Hyundai Material Handling.

What has been your main motivation to join EP?
My main motivation for joining EP is the desire to be part of an ambitious business project on a long-term basis. The world is changing, so are our habits, and EP product development policy is in my view totally in tune with the changes encountered in today’s world. I always new about EP and the products are  incredible quality with innovation at hear

Which product do you find most interesting and what do you want other people to know about the product?
All EP products of course !!! The entire range has been developed and designed to improve and simplify handling operations, provide user comfort, reduce costs and protect the environment. What is not to love about EP products!

What hobbies do you have and how do you spend your weekends?
My week is often filled with business trips so, on the weekends, I like to refocus on my family and enjoy simple things such as walks in the forest, enjoying the seaside (which is only 30 km from my home) and of course, in the land of gastronomy, make delicious meals.

What is your biggest wish for your first year at EP?
My greatest wish in this first year is obviously to increase sales in France, but before that, to set up a real partnership with the network of distributors because, as the EP slogan so aptly evokes, we need each other: LET’S GROW TOGETHER
